The placer gold deposits of Staroverinskaya area are being studied and developed according to license ChIT №12355 BR.
Location
The Staroverinskaya placer deposits are situated in Kalgan District of Transbaikal Territory in the upper reaches of the Nizhnyaya Borzia River.
Geology
Placers are confined to valleys of orders II-IV. Valley morphology is determined by tectonic factors: valleys are situated along branches of the Kutomar fault zone. Valley shapes in plan are linear, cross section is trough-, bowl-like. Lobe length is 0.8-14. 0 km. Total thickness of loose sediments in the valleys is from 2-3 to 18.5 m on average.
The size distribution of gold among placers is very irregular. Fine gold makes up 74%, medium gold is 12%, coarse gold is 7%, and fine dispersed is 7%. Gold grains are mainly weakly rounded. Grains are usually flat and cloddy. The gold grade is from 900 to 938 (per mille). Hydraulic size of gold is low due to multiple inclusions and porosity.
Reserves
The reserves of the licensed area are investigated and put on the balance at the Territorial Reserves Commission.

Production
Zolotaya Borzia LLC, the operator for the license holder, is developing the Kozlikha and Shirokaya Tala commercial placer deposits. The company has reached capacity of 250 kg of gold per year.
With allowance for production and reserves growth, the residual reserves in the area as of 01.01.2011 are:
- balance С1 — 438 kg;
- balance С2 — 1,465 kg;
- off-balance С1 — 122 kg;
- off-balance С2 — 271 kg.
